Supercar runs on fuel made from plastic waste
Italian car company Bertone launched the GB110 supercar with a 5.2 V10 engine running on synthetic fuel made from plastic waste.
Every year, the Top Marques Monaco event is always notable for the appearance of many special supercars and unique creative ideas. At this year's event, which took place in early June, Bertone launched the GB110 supercar, which was revealed at the end of 2022 and this was the first time it was displayed in real life.
Founded in 1912, Bertone was one of the most iconic Italian car design houses before going bankrupt in 2014. In 2022, the company was revived by the Ricci brothers, and the GB110 was built to celebrate the company's 110th anniversary.

Bertone claims the GB110 is the first performance car to run on fuel from plastic waste. It has partnered with Select Fuel, which has developed a patented technology to convert polycarbonate materials into renewable energy.
The GB110's design is unlike any other supercar on the market. The headlights are seamlessly connected by a narrow slit across the front of the car, reminiscent of the front of the Dodge Charger EV electric sports car.
The GB110’s interior is minimalist. The digital instrument cluster, flat-bottomed steering wheel, and driver-passenger divider are similar to the cabin of the C8 Corvette. A small infotainment screen and a few rows of buttons flank the steering wheel.

Bertone has said the GB110 is based on an existing car, but has not revealed which model. It is widely speculated that the GB110 is based on the Lamborghini Huracan, as it is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine with twin turbochargers, producing 1,085 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque.
The GB110 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.79 seconds, from 0-200 km/h in 6.79 seconds, and from standstill to 300 km/h in just 14 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 380 km/h. This power is transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.
Bertone will only produce 33 GB110s. The company has not announced the price or delivery date.
